Phenomenal Woman :“Education Through Cultural Participation”
Our mission is to empower, edify and encourage women to assume greater ownership and exceed their maximum potential in their everyday lives. The Miss Anguilla pageant is a great way for young women to promote their strengths, talents and achievements. They can achieve this not only by revealing their outer beauty, but by also displaying their inner beauty as young ambitious women with goals and dreams.
The great poet Maya Angelou describes us as “Phenomenal Woman”, her famous words helps us to rejoice in what it means to be a Phenomenal Woman. This year our Miss Anguilla contestants are all Phenomenal Women.
They know that one does not need to look a certain way or act in a certain manner to be a beautiful and powerful woman; she derives strength from her uniqueness and in recognizing her own courage and honesty.
As Miss Anguilla contestants they will learn to increase self awareness, self esteem, and promote pride and unity. Through this pageant we hope to motivate the young women of Anguilla to aim high and remember how phenomenal they truly are.
