Nineteen years ago, I, Kericia Barry was birthed.

As a child, lofty dreams of being a star football player crowded my thoughts.  As a result, I pursued this avenue relentlessly over the past nine years, where I have been competing in league competitions.  Today, because I refused mediocrity in this venture, I am the right back defender of the Anguilla National Team, “The Swarming Fire Ants”.  

With Maturity came other interests.  And while football is still an important aspect of my life, my dreams have now changed.  I intend to one day pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business with a concentration in Finance.  As part of my preparation for this task, I am gaining valuable knowledge and insight working as a customer service representative at a financial institution.

My hobbies include playing sports, singing, acting and reading.  I also enjoy traveling and meeting people. Additionally, I take great interest in activities geared toward my development.  Consequently, I have been a member of the Apple Theatre Group, The Oh Yeah Theatre Group, the Anguilla Cadet Corp and the New Young Progressive Debaters.  These groups have taught me the importance of self discipline and have molded me into the competitor I am today.  They have given me the tools necessary to compete in such a competition.  More important however, I have learnt the importance of teamwork, an absolute “must have” quality to succeed in any competition.
