I am 19 year old Delvicia MacDonna, a proud contestant in this year’s Miss Anguilla Queen Pageant. I consider myself to be an ambitious, vivacious and confident young woman. I humbly bare the positive legacy of women before my time who aimed for and attained success through hard work and determination. I am a young woman who not only thinks of others, but also of myself; one who understands that self love and respect is an important part of womanhood.

I am no stranger to the pageant world having participated in several pageants. In 2005 I participated in the Miss CCB Talented Teen Pageant and in 2007 was crowned Miss Venus Model Anguilla. I not only have a love for pageants but I am also a health and fitness enthusiast. Fitness is now a way of life for me. In 2008, I was awarded, Miss Anguilla Fitness. I represented Anguilla in 2006 and 2007 in the Eastern Caribbean Body Building and Fitness Championship where I placed 3rd both years. I have also represented Anguilla in Trinidad, Bermuda and the Bahamas.

I enjoy travelling, socializing, fitness training, modeling and learning about the different cultures of the world. I am presently an employee at Caribbean Cable Communications where I continually build my social and communication skills as a Customer Service Representative. I am also a member of the Panache Model team, an organization that allows me to build my self confidence and work as a part of a positive team. As a young woman, I think it is important for me to value and love myself, and through my participation in the Miss Anguilla Queen Pageant 2009 I hope I can encourage other young women to do just the same.
